WHISKEY, WAFFLES, AND JOURNEYMANS BBL AGED Maple SYRUP

RECIPE: SOPHIA HERCZEG

INGREDIENTS FOR BATTER

2 cups flour (We used Community Grains Hard Red Winter Wheat)

1 teaspoon Sacred Valley Salt

4 teaspoons baking soda

2 tablespoons sugar

2 eggs  

1.5 cup milk (warmed)

1/3 cup of butter (melted)

1 teaspoon vanilla 

 

DIRECTIONS:

1. Mix together flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar in large bowl

2. Beat eggs in separate bowl, add in milk, butter, and vanilla

3. Combine into large bowl and mix to create batter  

4. Preheat waffle iron to 360 or desired temperature

5. Pour batter with ladle onto waffle iron, cook until golden and crisp 

6. Serve with a dollop of Ploughgate butter and Journeyman Barrel Aged Maple Syrup.

*Best enjoyed with a shot (or two) of Journeyman whiskey
